Shaun White Snowboard and Skateboard Biography

Shaun White is a prodigy in a number of arenas, but his life did not start out in such a positive way. He was able to work his way up from having tetralogy of Fallot, which is a congenial heart disease. Shaun had to have two heart surgeries before he reached the age of five. However, after this slightly troubling start, Shaun went on to become a major star in two major sports arenas. There are many different Shaun White snowboard and skateboard achievements that can be reviewed in order to see how extraordinary this young man’s life truly is.

Shaun White’s home life is based out of California. He was born in San Diego, on September 3, 1986, but is currently based out of Carlsbad, California. He has a strong family sense, and it was his father who taught him how to snowboard at the age of six. Shaun’s father had to learn how to snowboard himself before he could teach Shaun, but he did so because the family was told that Shaun was too young for snowboarding lessons. When Shaun’s mother called Burton to see if they were able to manufacture a board that was small enough to work as a fit for her six year old son, they were immediately interested and gave Shaun a sponsorship.

Currently, Shaun has over a dozen different sponsors, a tremendous increase in the last fourteen plus years. Shaun White works as not only a professional snowboarder, but also as a professional skateboarder. He began to go pro at age ten when he began to enter himself as a pro when filling out competition cards. His older brother Jesse acts as his manager, and is also considered by Shaun to be his best friends and his most trusted ally. While Shaun was able to get the silver medal in the X-Games Men’s Skateboarding Vert competition, he has had a much more impressive tract record in his Snowboarding competitions. Throughout the X-Games, over the last 5 years, Shaun White has able to establish quite a record when it comes to the Men’s slope style and half-pipe competitions. Shaun White is one of the fiercest competitors in these competitions, and going up against him should not be underestimated, despite his age and size. He is very strong willed and will try almost anything, even if he does not exceed.

In addition to the Shaun White snowboard and skateboard sensations to review, this sensational man also has a number of side projects he has been working on. This includes a movie of skateboard and snowboard antics entitled The White Album, and he was also on MTVs hit show Punk’d. Giving back to the company that gave him one of his first sponsorships, White is touring to help promote Burton’s DVD entitled “For Right or Wrong”.

Shaun White has also worked on video games, commercials and documentaries. He keeps busy with entertainment work when he is not training or working out at competitions. This shows what a strong work ethic he has, especially when it comes to his passions.
