Burton Custom Snowboard Equipment

Back in 1977 Burton Snowboards a manufacturing company was founded by Jack Burton Carpenter and today they are one of the leaders in the market. One significant difference from this company to others is the Burton custom snowboard equipment line.

There regular line includes all of the essentials for snowboarding including the hardware such boards and bindings, outerwear such as jackets and boots, and other accessories such as your goggles.

Burton defined what it meant to be a snowboarder and today that definition stands strong. You see being a snowboarder is more than just coming down the slopes. It’s a look as well.

Besides there own line they also have several sub brands which include Red Protect for helmets and body armor, Gravis Footwear, Analog outerwear which is a higher end outerwear than what Burton’s regular lines are, and Anon Optics for snowboard goggles.

Burton has a full team of professionals on staff giving them a well rounded level of professionals for all of their lines. Some of the most successful snowboarders such as Jones and Haakonsen are on their staff.

But more than just have pros on staff Burton is owned by riders. This is a company that is determined to make the best snowboard gear possible.

For a company that started in a house in Vermont it has become a global company that has manufacturing plants around the globe. Burton was instrumental in taking snowboarding to where it is today. It’s impressive research and development is made up of professional riders which means other riders are getting just what they want.

With the custom option you’ve got even more options. Let’s have a look at just a few of the custom opportunities.

1. Custom Snowboard Bindings
These binding have been a favorite of the pros for a long time and that includes Shaun White. These bindings balance practicality with performance.

The tool free forward lean, mid flex base plate, reduced weight, high back padding for the elimination of calf bite, UVA padding, and adjustable pedals on the base plate give you an improved feel. Shaun White isn’t the only one falling for these bindings!

2. Custom Playboy Snowboard
There were only 700 of this board produced in 2004 so if you were lucky enough to get one you’ve got a collectors piece on your hand. It was designed to honor the 50th Anniversary of Playboy.

This custom board resulted in plenty of imitation board but none of them had the Burton quality. Not only was this board a limited edition that would become highly collectable it was a board that could do everything because it was designed by pro riders.

3. 2006 Custom Board
Took the 2004 custom board to a new level thanks to the input of Jonsson, Aquirre, and Sorsa three riders at the forefront of free style riding. This lightweight board is easy to throw about and perfect for warp speed riding and those sidewalls that most riders live for. You can get some fat air with this board and take your tricks to a new level.

Burton custom snowboard options are plentiful so if the stock product doesn’t meet your needs then go custom.
